Hulse & Durrell

Hulse Durrell -Identity work for Canada curling

Ben Hulse and Greg Durrell first started working together in 2007 on the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Paralympic Games and have been busy ever since. In recent months they have been immersed in a thoughtful rebranding of the national curling team. In addition, their latest identity campaign for Swimming Canada has earned them high praise in what Olympic medalist Brent Hayden says is a brand that ”honours the past while setting a bold statement for the team going forward”. I couldn’t agree more. Look for a new Hulse Durrell site launching soon.

Sponsor // IKEA

In a new campaign, IKEA honours the things at home that usually get very little recognition. Conceived as an epic homage, the lamp, clothes hanger and even the wall-mounted hook behind the door, are all portrayed as true heroes.

Without thinking, we rely on them daily and it’s not until they’re gone that we miss them dearly. Unlike furniture we proudly place in the centre of a room for people to gather around and admire, the life of an everyday hero is secluded and sometimes, quite dreadful. But still, day in and day out, they do their best to improve our lives at home.
